Zeekr in the UK: Models, Price & What to Know (2026)

Zeekr is the premium electric performance brand of Geely — the Chinese automotive giant that also owns Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, Smart, and LEVC (London’s black cab maker). Unlike most Chinese brands entering the UK on value pricing, Zeekr is positioned explicitly to rival Tesla, BMW, and Audi on tech and performance rather than undercut them on price. It’s already sold over 220,000 cars in China in a single year (2024) and has an established European sales presence ahead of its UK debut.

Zeekr’s UK Launch Model

  • 7GT — Zeekr’s UK launch car, an electric estate/liftback rivalling the Tesla Model 3 and VW ID.7 Tourer. UK prices have not been announced yet. The range-topping version offers over 400bhp and a 0-62mph time as low as 3.3 seconds, while the Long Range 100kWh variant offers up to 460 miles WLTP. Ultra-fast 270kW DC charging enables a 10-80% top-up in as little as 13 minutes — among the fastest-charging EVs on sale anywhere. Backed by an 8-year/160,000-mile battery warranty, matching Kia’s UK benchmark.

Coming Soon to the UK

  • 7X — a premium electric SUV rivalling the Tesla Model Y, already on sale in mainland Europe and other markets. UK prices have not been announced yet. Built on the same “SEA” platform as the Smart #5 and Polestar 4.
  • X — a smaller, compact electric SUV, updated for 2026 with a bigger boot, faster charging, and up to 496hp in top spec. UK pricing has not been announced.

Zeekr will launch via a direct-to-consumer digital and physical retail model — similar to Tesla’s approach — rather than a traditional franchised dealer network, aimed at keeping pricing consistent and removing dealer markup.

Why Buyers Might Choose Zeekr

Zeekr’s pitch is tech and charging speed rather than budget value — the 7GT’s 13-minute rapid-charge time and near-Tesla pricing are its headline draws. It’s also backed by Geely’s proven manufacturing scale, already responsible for Volvo, Polestar, and Lotus platforms sold successfully in the UK.

Reliability & Ownership

As a brand-new UK entrant, Zeekr has no UK ownership track record yet, though its backing by Geely (an established, trusted parent in the UK via Volvo and Polestar) offers more reassurance than most first-time Chinese entrants. The battery warranty (8 years/160,000 miles) is among the strongest offered by any brand in the UK market.
